About
Built & Billed is an independent publication about what website builders really cost. It is written for designers, freelancers and small startup teams deciding where to build a marketing site or a portfolio, and who want the full bill before they commit.
The site is run by the team behind builtandbilled.com. There are no pen names and no invented reviewers. Pages are signed by the editorial team, and every figure is tied to a source you can check.
What we cover
- Pricing: the real monthly bill for Framer, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace and Hostinger Website Builder once seats, languages and add-ons are counted.
- Comparisons and alternatives: the same site priced on two builders, and what it takes to move off one.
- Reviews and best-of lists: who each builder fits, and where it stops fitting.
- Guides: plan limits, billing mechanics and migration.
We do not review web hosting, sell templates or publish general web-design tutorials.
How we research
We are researched, not tested. We read the vendors’ public pricing pages in both yearly and monthly billing, their plan-limit tables, help docs and changelogs, and we date every number. We do not buy paid plans or build test sites, and we never describe hands-on experience we do not have. The details are on how we research.
How we are funded
Today the site earns nothing from vendors: every vendor link is a plain link. Some links may become affiliate links in the future. If they do, a commission will never change a number or the order of a ranking. See the disclosure.
Corrections
Prices change often, so a dated correction is the most useful thing a reader can send. Write to contact@builtandbilled.com with the page, the figure and where you saw a different one. If we got it wrong, we fix the page and update its date.
